A New Blog Direction

Hello. This is Ishmail here, first time I've ever said my own name on this blog, but I'm just here to give an update on this blog. I've never been the interactive type when it comes to my followers, if any of those actually exist, but I plan on changing. I will be adding a comment section under every post for feed back. Speaking of post, the post type will be changing. Yes they will still be poetry here every now and then but I plan on expanding. There will be more topics to discuss on here in the future such as: video games, sports, music, movies, social topics, clothing, art and photos. I have a new found love for photography and I plan on being a professional photographer one day. A clothing line is also coming soon. In all I'm just working on expanding the Jonesdotcome brand. You can follow me on every social media outlet @jonesdotcome to keep up with everything.

I know this is out of order, but I'm just writing this as I think of it. All first takes in this post so who cares. Also I plan on having multiple writers for this blog as well to keep up with everything. As a brand I feel as if this is the best way to grow.

When it comes to the topics I plan on doing my best to be up to date with everything. Video game post will include reviews on games I buy or find most interesting. Beta sign up links will be available here as well, so if you're looking for games that maybe interesting but you're iffy on buying them, information will be available here.

Sports wise, I'm a huge NBA fan and most sport news will be basketball. I'm not that into football or baseball, but if I can get someone to cover those sports that would help tremendously. I will try to post standings regularly and top highlights that I find anywhere. There will also be articles about how I generally feel about players and/or teams and what maybe best for the teams. I'll also be looking for someone to cover collegiate sports being that I'm not really interested in those either.

Music is such a hard topic to cover. It will mainly be hip hop mainstream music. Atlanta Music Honestly. I'm from Atlanta and here Young Thug and Quavo gets the same praise as Kendrick and Cole do nationwide so you can imagine how my opinion on music is. I listen to tons of different artist though. I'll be giving my opinions on albums that I find good, bad or just forgettable . There is almost a brand new album every week and there honestly isn't enough time to enjoy it all and we tend to have music in rotation for maybe about a month and then we forget about it. With that being said I'll try to do an album of the week. It may or may not be a recent album, it just maybe what I feel like listening to for the week. I also may do Artist of the week . This does not mean the Artist may be the hottest artist this week with a new single or anything, just maybe the artist who has a song or collection of songs that just brightens my spirit that week. Honestly that's enough on Music....on to movies.

Movies! Maybe I should say movies and television shows. I don't even watch live television so this maybe just a new netflix/ hulu series that I'm really enjoying. It may seem like I have unlimited time on my hands and hey this just might be true but back to the topic. I love movies. Especially Comic Book/ Super Hero movies. I feel like Marvel does a better job than DC theatrically but animation wise DC destroys Marvel comics. They both have a place. I love all types of movies though, comedies, actions, romances, horror , those boring movies that nobody like, I just love it all. I'm quick to call a movie stupid though because there are a lot of dumb movies. Children movies are the best though. I'll be doing Movie of the week along with a TV series of the week. I don't want to spoil anything though.

Social Topics means there maybe an issue that I see in the world and I just want to get my opinion out there. Not really much to expand on

Art and clothing may just go hand in hand. I think art has fallen off when it comes to beauty. People seem to think that drawings of a naked woman or basic quotes in tons of colors and a fancy font is art. So my goal is to find a different painting every week and have it posted here on the blog. Same with clothing. I feel as if clothing nowadays is stuck between either someone trying to do too much and calling it style and someone doing absolutely nothing and calling it style. I'll be on the lookout for fit of the week and maybe even shoe of the week since new shoes release every week, sneakers in particular but boots are welcome.

In conclusion of this terribly written post, I'm trying to refresh this blog and make it more live. Give it an actual direction to grow and succeed. I want to bring daily content to my followers( once again if any of those actually exist) and this will be starting this February 12th hopefully if I don't forget.
