Black Players We Can't Forget: Tracy McGrady

If you don't know who T-Mac is then I assume you're either young or not a sports fan. Either way, that's disrespectful to one of the greatest players to ever play this game. He is probably one of the most slept on players in the history of the game and most don't even put him in the top 50 which is sad, but if you watched his game you'd probably say otherwise. There was literally nothing that Tracy couldn't do. He could dunk on almost anyone, had the handles of a 6 ft point guard and was one of the quickest players out there.
Drafted by Toronto, T- Mac started his career off better than what it plenty of Rookies are doing today. He played with his cousin, Vince Carter, and they put Toronto on the map. The sick jerseys and the high flying duo of Vince and T-Mac made Toronto the place to watch in the late 90s. Once he left Toronto, T-Mac went to Orlando to be a star. Yes he was already a star as a Raptor, but his career really took off in Orlando. In his first two seasons he averaged 24 ppg and barely looked back.
McGrady's highlights really came in a Rockets jersey. No he didn't have his best highlights here, but this is when he played with Yao Ming. If these two had a little more help then they may have won a championship. This was really the downfall of T-Macs career due to the fact that he had tons of injuries in his latter seasons. If he stayed healthy, then he'd probably still be playing. This is really one of the sad stories of what injuries can do to a career. No matter what I think Tracy is one of the greatest to ever play the game of basketball and at the peak of his career, everyone will tell you he was unstoppable. If you've never seen him play please go watch his highlights.
